The purpose of the Utah Reined Cow Horse Association (URCHA) is to:

• Improve and promote reined cow horse events within the region
• Host and promote reined cow horse shows, clinics, and the annual Snaffle Bit Futurity, all of which promote the reined cow horse tradition
• Promote and develop interest in reined cow horses among the youth of Utah and the Inter-Mountain West

The URCHA, a 501(c)(7) non-profit organization, was organized in 1984 with 6 members and today has grown to over 150 members from Utah, Nevada, Colorado, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming. The Association holds 4 reined cow horse shows (not sanctioned by the NRCHA) annually in addition to our annual NRCHA sanctioned Futurity/Derby/Horse show. Members who compete in any shows are eligible for awards at our annual awards event. We also put on at least one affordable clinic annually for Association members and have scholarship opportunities for youth members.

The Association is overseen by a Board of Directors that is elected annually.
